First Coat Of White Top Coat On Roof

I did it! The first white top coat is on and it will be next week before I can get to the second coat. They recommend at least two coats. I can see why. Only one coat looks hideous. I’ll definitely do a second coat and perhaps a third since it’s white. White painting of any kind almost always requires double that of any color. If it were latex wall paint I’d first paint a base of two coats of primer then a top coat of white latex that also had primer in it - like Benjamin Moore paints do. Love their interior paint. 

So I’m done for today. I sweated quite a bit even though it became cloudy. Aluminum roofs are still pretty hot when the sun is pounding down even with elastic coatings on them. Praying for two good cloudy days next week!
