Known Issues And New Finds

There were some issues that were known to exist like the water damage. The main source of water damage was a missing refrigerator vent cap and it was quickly rectified by putting a new cap in place. Water damage at the doors and windows was revealed as the paneling was removed. That water will be dealt with as the doors and windows are repaired and reinstalled with proper putty and tapes. The last area of water infiltration was from some of the roof vents and those will each be removed, restored and reinstalled with new putty and tapes.

The cool part about Grace is her Aluma Frame feature. I’m still learning how it interacts with the floor and roof framing, but having the studs be aluminum helps when it comes time to doing interior work and wall stability.

Fun finds included the extra step in the storage compartment, a roll of toilet paper when it was in short supply during the pandemic, and reversible refrigerator door to give a choice of color between copper and yellow.

  1. Where did you get your fridge cap at? I may want to replace the one on our fixer upper

    1. So sorry. I just noticed your question. I got that cap on line from Walmart.com but sadly I didn’t measure so it was too big for the hole. I had to modify and drill new holes. It works good though now. I also had to order the base because I just couldn’t find a cap by itself that was small enough.
