Window Progress

Sadly while I had hoped to have all windows cleaned, restored and reinstalled by the end of June, that goal is not going to be met. 

I did have all the windows cleaned off but they still require much more cleaning and shining to be restored. And several require more efforts due to broken pieces or rusted hardware. 

And the biggest thing is that they were a constant source of fear inside the house. Why is that you ask? Well every time Cody or Milo walked past them I worried the windows would crash and glass be everywhere. 

So yesterday I rehung all the windows in their openings with two screws each. Not such an easy process because the labels I wrote on painters tape regarding where they belonged washed off during the cleaning. And each window, while similar in design, fit differently into the predrilled holes. 

I have a new goal - take each window out - one by one and clean, restore and rehang with putty tape. And repeat that process until all 14 windows are finished completely. And not setting a time limit or due by date.
