No More Rusty Bumper

I finally got enough time and energy to remove the remaining parts of the rusty bumper. And not a moment too soon because thunderstorms are headed our way.

It was a bit of a challenge because I don’t have much practice with using my grinder as a cutting tool. There was the additional issue of it running out of battery power so I had to charge it awhile then use it and repeat that process several times. Cordless products are great until the battery dies or they don’t have the extra umph they need to do the job. But I pushed through it all. I put on my working jumpsuit and safety gear and fought the wasp inside the bumper hole with bee killer. And got it DONE!

When it’s time I’ll have a new bumper welded onto the rear by a welder. I was thinking of trying it myself, but I would rather it not fall off on the street somewhere along my drive. And I’ll save “learning to weld” for some future date.
