Yuck and Rust
Pictures from today.
Spent most of the day trying to remove rusty misshapen screws and managed to leave more for “later” removal then I really wanted to leave. I took almost all the entry door screws off and tomorrow I should be ready to remove the door to storage until it is repaired and ready to go back up.
I started the day by scraping off as much of the remaining putty from around the window openings as I could scrape. Not sure what the next prep thing is with regard to sticky substance removal so I’ll need to investigate that. And I’m still deciding how much effort I want to expend on restoration. I could putty up her holes, sand and paint and I’d be perfectly happy with that. But there’s also the thought of removing the badly damaged areas and putting new skin on her. Not sure I’m so caring about perfection but I am caring that she’s sound and safe for camping.
I took the hub caps off the tires as I near the process of removing the belly skin. I’m not looking forward to that happening as I just have a feeling the whole floor will fall down. Probably won’t happen but it’s my fear at this point.
Noticed the yellow cat had been visiting inside. I guess I scared it away after finding it in my RV project so it found the open empty camper a good place to hang out instead.
Tomorrow will be a beautiful weather day so I’m hoping to get lots done.
