What To Do On A Windy Rainy April Fools Day

With Cody still home from school this week not much can happen with Grace other than planning and purchasing. Of course those are two of my favorite things to do so that makes it easy and fun. I’d rather be working on her restoration because every day I work on her moves me one day closer to being finished.

A wise teacher said to set a deadline to be finished and have a goal for the build. The goal is easy. To have Grace useable for weekend camping trips with Cody and Milo and any other family members who want to come along. The deadline seems to be harder for me to plan. Every time I think about how long before I’ll have her finished I start to get anxiety about all that needs to be done and the lack of actual daily hours to work. I suppose if I had a huge bay to park her in and keep all the pieces and tools handy I might have less anxiety because I could work without constantly putting tools and things in and out of the weather. Then again I’d probably have anxiety about something else at that point so I guess I’ll just set a day and then be flexible.

So my project finish day will be... drum roll please... October 20, 2021. That will be one year after I purchased her and we will take her camping overnight at Walmart parking lot for a trial run and then that weekend to Westmoreland State Park for two nights. And no, this is not a joke.

Deadline for finish - October 20, 2021 - let the anxiety begin!
