Sometimes You Just Need A Win
Today was a weird day. Lots of challenging things happened that were trying their best to make me feel defeated. The morning work on Grace was somewhat satisfying but I still kept feeling like I just needed a kick start or win to make it seem like I’m actually making progress with her.
So I got out the grey primer and brushed on one coat on her front. I used the left overs on the gold stripe at the rear. And interestingly even though she wasn’t truly ready to be painted it turned out pretty nice looking. I’ll do another coat of primer and the top coats later when she’s really ready for paint. That will be after I do the body work, her roof is done, the subfloor and chassis are in good repair and she’s not under the portable garage.
Until then I’m marking this one as a win and ignoring the nagging voice that says I’ll just have to redo it later. Painting makes me feel good and makes her look fresh and clean.
